I was flipping though the channels and landed on the Travel Channel.. The show was Passport to Europe. They did the whole show on Edinburgh. They talked about whisky and history and a spoke to a kilted gent and a Piper! Near the end of the show I caught a flash of the Geoffrey (Tailor) Kiltmaker sign. I was a pretty cool show.

Graham, you simply start by saying something like, "I am a friend of Hamish Bicknell down in West Sussex ........" Then John, Tristam, Hugh, Charles or any of the Nicholsby family who happen to be in the shop will come running to enquire if and how they might help you!!!! LOL.

Saying you're a friend of Hamish Bicknell anywhere in the UK will probably get you free pints and discounted taxi rides too.

Martin, I am surprised! I had no idea that you frequent THOSE places as well - I've never seen you down there, but then the lighting IS kept pretty low!!!!

Yes, well, I am known to them in Seattle! :) In fact, next Wednesday I am taking Megan to lunch here in England. She is bringing me over a couple of new Utilikilts ......... that's not the reason for her visit here, I hasten to add. I mean, that would be taking personal service to an extreme!!!
