Just in case anyone was wondering, ebony is an absolute bugger to work with using hand tools.

I'm rapidly developing scars to prove it.

On the flip side, it looks awesome when it's finished and polishes extremely well.

Know what you mean- I had an old piece that I cut up to make some kilt pins and a couple of sgian don'ts. You didn't mention what you might be working on?!
