    Beautiful Doublet
There has been some discussion of late about styles of evening doublets. One of the nicest doublets I have seen belongs to a good friend of mine, from Appin. I am posting these pictures to show that one does not have to go the "cookie cutter route"! It is most unlikely that you will see too many doublets like this one. I am especially taken by the silk tartan lining.

    Enjoy:)

I think you are quite right - it is a beautiful doublet.

If you learn of a breakin in Appin, I was nowhere near at the time. NOWHERE NEAR.

It says Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his ox nor his ***, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.

Since I am NOWHERE NEAR Appin, your friend there is not my neighbor. And that is a very good thing.

    Sandy,

Do you have any photos of this doublet being worn? If not, can you describe whether it is worn with a waistcoat, jabot, bowtie, etc? I very much like it, but am having a hard time picturing it with accessories.

    Cordially,

    David

    Hi David,

I've only seen him wear it with a waistcoat and a jabot.

    Cheers,
    Sandy

The fella must live in the tropics. You'd freeze dressed like that in Scotland.
