hey Forrest. Thanks for the tip. Just ordered two.
-
I just ordered a brown herringbone, for possible conversion. Already had the brown plaid; wear it all winter to work.
-
Member vmac3205 also does jacket conversions.
-
Deal is dead as of midnight last night and the price went back up to $128, although they still had a fair amount of selection remaining this morning.

great for you that the code worked longer than expected, although the advert for the code disappeared yesterday morning when I looked. I didn't bother to actually check that part out. Glad you got in on the deal. Hope you like them.
When mine arrive later this week I will be up to 5 Harris tweeds----can't have too many in my opinion.
If anybody does go so far as to do a jacket conversion please post pics and details for the rest of us not yet bold enough to cut into such a nice piece of tailoring. Might just push me to do it too.

This will be my first. I figured, at $80 bucks, shipped, what have I got to loose!
I may convert it, I may keep it as is. I'm wishy, washy like that sometimes.
For those still interested, the code for 50% was still working this am.

I bought three to add to the two I already had, and three put me over the magic number for free shipping. Also picked up two pair of tweed (gasp) p@nts for $20 a pair. Please don't narc me out to the kilt police.
I too will investigate whether or not to "convert" one or more, depending on how much trouble/cost it is and what they look like with my kilt tartans when they arrive. Otherwise, just another sportcoat in the repertoire.

This might get too tempting to resist!
