Re: interesting "urban tweed" kilt
The description is "99% wool, 1% reflective" which I take it to mean it's all wool except for that single reflective thread in the weft. Not sure what that is made of.

Didn't look at all like synthetic to me, so I checked!
urban-check details l
I rather like the name, and it seems very appropiate, the twin yellow lines signifing "no parking" on the grey/black mix to show the road surface, very clever

Re: interesting "urban tweed" kilt
The reflective thread is probably nylon or microfiber poly filament.
Re: interesting "urban tweed" kilt
I think it's magic, ... but a fine looking kilt, nonetheless.
Re: interesting "urban tweed" kilt
Great looking kilt, and I rather like the fabric. For someone who gets around mostly by walking it would be an added saftey feature at night! I have some guy lines on my tents made out of "Triptease" line which is retro-reflective when light shines on it. It lights up like a laser beam when a flashlight is shown on it to prevent tripping over the guy wires at night. I'll bet the thread in this kilt will do the same.
interesting "urban tweed" kilt
Woohoo! Now I can see the pics ... and now I want a kilt made with that material! This kilt-thing really is addictive; I thought wrist-watches and Scotch were bad ...
Re: interesting "urban tweed" kilt
That is really cool... any safety-conscious too!
