I thought that too. AI draws on what has been said/ written elsewhere, and there was sufficient material on that topic. Not always so on all topics, or for the way all questions are phrased.

There are, to put it lightly, myriad ethical issues with these AI bots, including the methodology by which they scrape the work of others and reconstruct it without attribution, as well as the enormous environmental cost of running AI servers.
Sometimes, it does a passable job at piecing together phrases to form full ideas, but it's still no substitute for using reputable and creditable sources. In fact, I wouldn't say I've learned anything from ChatGPT's output on this subject that I hadn't already from reading posts by the good members of this forum.

For the record, I only used ChatGPT as sort of a joke, just to see what it said. It has its uses but information, even objective facts is not one of them.

Well your “joke” has certainly opened my eyes! I had absolutely no idea that these things existed. Not that I can do anything about them I suppose, but it is all rather concerning to this techno dunce.
