Fox Mulder...kilt expert?
My fiance was watching the Tony Danza show yesterday morning and being a long-time fan of "The X-Files", I decided to sit with her and watch Danza's interview with David Duchovny. Naturally, Duchovny's Scottish ancestry (I think he's half Scottish, half Jewish) and the subject of kilts came up, to which he had this to say (not verbatim):
"The reason you wear a sporran is to keep your 'something' down, so you're not flashing everyone".
Of course, flashed on screen were pics of both Duchovny and Danza wearing kilts (in separate photos); personally, I thought Danza looked quite the buffoon wearing a kilt and a bearskin hat. Duchovny looked a thousand times better, and naturally much more at ease sporting his jacket, kilt and brogues.
Anyway, Duchovny actually did use the word 'something' which I thought was a bit humorous, and maybe even mildly coy. Fox Mulder, kilt expert? Hmm...I wonder what dementia Scully (hubba-hubba) will qualify this as in her never-ending pyschoanalysis of Mulder.
