    New member pictures

2 pictures from my second kilted outing at the Chicago Celtic Festival yesterday. The first show me as I was dressed to head to the fest, and the second one is after "dressing down" when it got to warm for the JS. The second one is also unique because I have not seen any other pictures with someone kilted and a large cartoon pirate figure, and of course my 2 lovely daughters!

Also, any fashion advice will be welcome, since I am new to the kilt, but please be gentle!

How about it lads, any other pictures showing you in your kilt in an odd place or with something out of the ordinary in the picture?

Here's a pic of me in Rio de Janeiro at an Iron Maiden concert with my little brother Ewerton.

I don't know if any of you have ever worn a kilt in Rio,or anywhere in Brasil but the reactions of Americans seem very pale to the reactions of Brasilians!!!
I actually had strangers walk up to me wanting to get a picture taken with me in my kilt almost as if I was some kind of famous person...it was incredibly odd! Fortunately *most* everyone's reactions were positive as well as very curious and confused :-)

Strangely enough the only near negative reaction I encountered was at an Irish pub of all places!! called "The Irish Rover"
While standing near the entrance I was chatting with a guy from Boston, he looks down at the kilt, has a weird expression on his face, scoffs and asks me "Dude! what's with the kilt!?!?" implying that I'm some kind of major idiot weirdo for wearing a kilt in an Irish Pub. I responded to him by giving a short explanation about the comfort of a kilt, the fact that I like wearing a kilt and that "We're in a friggin' IRISH PUB!!" Of all the places in Rio where I wore my kilt THAT's the place I get any kind of negativity! go figure
Wear your kilt proudly, but carry a big stick

    Excellent.

Here's a thought. Get a wide belt and a big buckle for the new kilt. Ebay is good if you're looking to do it on a budget.

But cool, all 'round, whatever the case.
