Any Yellow Tartan in PV?
I've seen a few kilts made from yellow tartan variations. I think the kilts were probably wool but it really made me appreciate the look of the yellow. I was wondering if anyone knew of where one might puchase a PV kilt made of a yellow tartan.

Just call up Gordon at Fraser Kirkbright and see if he still has the Loud MacLeod in the tartan remnants section. 16 oz wool for $18 cdn/metre.

You could send that one to any of the kiltmakers, and I am sure they would be happy to make a nice kilt for you. If that fails, the Buchanan has a fair bit of yellow in it, and the Buchanan acient that Bear and Rocky(?) carry is quite nice.

Since this is double width cloth it would be enough for a 4 yard kilt. Is this correct?

McLeod of Harris looks great with an old Vancouver Canucks jersey.

I would think so.
Did anyone else notice the "Double Blue" tartan at the bottum? What a smoking hot looking tartan. I may need some of that.

I think it looks sort of like the Clark tartan but with more black to it.

But notice that it is 11 oz. weight, great for a skirt, but pretty light for a kilt.

Great lead Colin, Thanks. I keep forgetting about those guys. Now to see if Rocky can sew it up for me or maybe I'll just hold onto it till I get around to making my own.
