Got the fuzzies

I Have washed my SWK Economy Gordon Kilt 3 times and it is getting fuzzy and I heard some one talking about shaving their Kilt? Some advice Please? Do I use a hair trimer or ??? :confused: Do I just live with it.

You can get a sweater shaver at just about any big box store fairly cheap. They do a nice job and no risk of slicing the fabric.

They're also sold under the name 'pill eater' "lint shaver,' etc.

There's something called a 'sweater stone' but I've tried it on a wool coat and it seemed to make the problem worse. Your mileage may vary.

I had the exact same problem with my SW. I used a regular razor blade (MAch 3 or whatever). What you do is go over the fuzz very slightly. Dont put the blade on the fabric. The blade should catch all that fuzz. It worked really well for me.

Some of us might not have that steady a hand so I always recommend the shaver. It beats risking a slip and slicing the fabric.

The cost of the blades now a days I might as well buy the shaver they were not to much on ebay.

The sweater shaver seems to work for me, I'd second the advice to find one of those.
