    eBay bidding

There are some forums, like the motor scooter forum X9 Owners & Riders Club, that have an area to discuss eBay auctions. The idea is, you see something you like, you let others in the forum know about it, then you use private messages to make sure that you aren't getting into a bidding war with a friend. Nothing unethical about making side agreements with friends - it happens at traditional auctions all the time.

Of course, by bringing attention to an auction item, you run the risk of losing an auction that you might otherwise have won.

I know a lot of people on Xmarks search eBay every day. Often we will find something nice that doesn't work for us but might work for somebody else in the forum. Most often, I would expect it would be a used kilt in the right tartan but the wrong size. I think it would be nice to have a particular spot to mention these auctions.

    Thoughts?

Unless there is something I am missing, Xbay is a collection of searches. But 99.5% of the items that turn up in those searches are new, inexpensive kilts. My search for Stewart kilts has only turned up one kilt that doesn't meet that description in the last two months. So, I am talking about something beyond that.

Whoops, you're right. It's been a long day and my thinking is slightly behind the rest of me.
