Looking for just the right sporran
Hey gang,
I've been looking for just the right brown sporran for some time. I bought one recently that I'm quite pleased with, but I'm still looking (naturally).
I was impressed with the sporran worn by the Prince of Wales (see below), though obviously such finery likely isn't available to the likes of me - not that I could afford it if it were.

But then while surfing around the White Thistle Kiltmaker's Web site, I came across this photo:

That's a nice looking sporran, and while it's hard to tell from the photo, I like the finish. Hard to find a sporran (or belt, or shoes) I like that's finished well.
The problem is that White Thistle doesn't sell sporrans and I haven't been able to find this sporran in brown elsewhere (I've seen it in black). Does anyone know where I might find the sporran pictured above?
Thank you,
Scott Gilmore

I just have to have a sporan, even if I only have UK's right now. Can one wear a brown sporan with a black belt, (not in Karate,) and black shoes?
DALE.

I, for one, will not quibble over shades of brown unless they're egregiously mismatched (like unstained cowhide mixed with oxblood/red-brown.)
"Brown leather" is "brown leather" to me...

If you look at the pic from White Thistle Kiltmakers, the man is wearing a black belt and shoes but a brown sporran.
