Here's some photos of me performing at Milwaukee's IrishFest. This is my (former) pipe band, the Shamrock Club Color Guard Pipe and Drum Band of Milwaukee. Here's me. This is me in my SWK Saffron with my Irish folk group. Here's another of me with the smallpipes. Too bad I didn't see any of you guys there. It was a great time! Plenty of beautiful kilts!
Wish I could have been there (in my SWK heavyweight green shadow tartan, of course). Thanks for posting. Regards, Scott Gilmore
Great pictures! Out of curiosity, as an Irish band, do you play different music than the standard MSR / Medley competition material heard at highland games? Funny... the photo of your band reminded of a comment I overheard this past summer (a Pipe Major coaching his group), "If you can't hear yourself... That's perfect"! Wonderful stuff. .
Great pics! Whats the name of your folk group? Thanks for posting.
The band is The Shinigans. Check out the site at http://www.myspace.com/theshinigans They play a lot of really traditional music, but also a bit of modern celtic also. I need to clarify: I was just a special guest for IrishFest. We collaborated to put the bagpipes in some of their tunes.
Very nice!
Nice pics & great music
Nice pictures. Those solid colour green and saffron kilts look very smart.
