Doesn't Twenty first century kilts/Geoffrey Taylor have a show room in NYC? If so where is it - no sign on their web sites. Any other kilt makers in NY?
I have a letter from Howie on their TFCK letterhead, and their catalog, both from 2005. They don't list any branches outside of Scotland.
Know Howie supports a big gig in NYC every year though.
Can't help with the later question.

Hamish would most likely know the exact answer but as far as I know they do not have a permanent store in North America. They DO however attend the larger highland festivals in the states and are always in New York for Tartan Week.
I would certainly recommend that, should they not have a US location and want to open one, they seriously consider the wonderfully centrally located city of Chicago as a great place to set up shop!
