"Why not Minot?"
Man oh man. Anyone who's ever worn the USAF blues knows what that phrase means.
I have just been contacted with a job offer. One of my old managers left the company some time ago for a MUCH larger salary in the "great white north." He told me when he left he was going to be calling me. Sure as his word usually is, he did. He hasn't given me "the numbers" yet. But, he knows what it'll take. I'm so excited and the butterflies in the belly are going nuts here. This could potentially be a HUGE oppurtunity. I would be the lab manager for their US operations (the co. is originally Canadian.)
Oh, and those who don't know where I'm talking about... I'm speaking of the frozen tundra of Minot, North Dakota. Brrrr......
If they make the money right, I will gladly go. We shall see. He's supposed to be emailing me "something in writing" soon.

That's so far north, you're almost IN Canada! Pack plenty of heavy wool kilt hose and stock up on 22 oz tanks.

Oh man... my brother was stationed there, when he was a missileer, with the Minuteman wing there.
Heard all kinds of stories... mostly involving boredom.

I'm familiar to Minot from being stationed at Fort Peck, Montana. It was the closest base to me. Brrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Canada, isn't that south and east? hahah Here in Alaska everything is south.... Anyhow, on the bright side Minot actually has 4 seasons, as opposed to here, where we have 3 (summer, winter, and breakup.) Good Luck!
