Purple Wallace
I was looking at my roll of Scotch Tape last night while wrapping Christmas presents and noticed that one of the rolls featured the Wallace tartan in purple. I've always liked the Wallace pattern, clean and strong, and in purple with gold (yellow) stripes it would be a dandy tartan.
Has anyone seen it actually woven? I know I can get it custom woven (as soon as my oil well comes in) but was hoping that maybe some weaving mill somewhere actually produced it some time and has, oh, maybe 4 meters lying about needing a good home.

I agree with you on the Wallace tartan. Kind of would like a hunting Wallace cause that's more in my color range though.

T.H. I could get into that, too. My high school colors were purple and gold. :-)
MacWage & Matt mentioned recently a House of Edgar Wallace Red Muted that looks maroon/burgundy/garnet, I'd like to get a look at that one.
And Ted, I suspect my first tank will be the Wallace hunting!

There are many tartans which feature the purple colors. Sadly, I don't think they go with my personal color spectrum.
I tend to stick to the greens and reds.

The muted maroon/burgundy colors sound very good. I can't see now, but when I could, the Wallace is a tartan that I can very much remember. It isn't busy with too many colors for my mind. I very much love the look of the regular Wallace tartan with red black and yellow, but the bright red and yellow don't look so good in my color range: hm! pail face. Still a more pastel range of colors would probably work well; IE Hunting Wallace.

I've thought that, too. The warrior pattern like the MM P-V is similar in feel to me, without the custom-weaving charge.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to look into what colors that tartan is over at USAK.
