If you like Roger Livesey, then I suggest you find "I Know Where I'm Going" (Set in Scotland-he plays a clan chief during WWII); "The Master of Ballantrae" (He plays an Irishman in this one); "Stairway to Heaven" (a fantasy set during WWII), to name a few.

And of course, his all-time best performance in The Life & Death of Colonel Blimp:

Although I Know Where I'm Going was a good one as well.

For those who might be Powell/Pressburger fans, I would also recommend A Canterbury Tale and The Edge of the World, which stars a younger John Laurie, a.k.a. Private Frazier of Dad's Army fame.

    Regards,

    Todd

BTW, "I Know Where I'm Going" is a Powell/Pressburger (Archer) Film.

Hence why I mentioned it with the other Powell/Pressburger films.

I'm a fan of the Archers.
