Dayton - Cincinnati Kilt Night
I propose a kilt night for the Dayton-Cincinnati area for Saturday, May 2, 2009 to be held at:
Claddagh Irish Pub
Deerfield Commons
5075 Deerfield Blvd.
Mason , Ohio 45040
Proposed starting time of 7pm EDT.
I was looking for a location that would be between Dayton and Cincinnati and this is as near the middle as I can find for an Irish or English pub that serves good food.
I attended a kilt night at Claddagh's in Columbus, OH a few months back. I thought they had good food. I have only been to the Mason location once and that was for lunch.
The weather is warming up so this is a good excuse for a kilt night. I chose this weekend as it is far enough out that I hope calendars are free, avoids mother's day and memorial day weekend (and Dayton Hamvention weekend but that is probably not a concern of most on this site other than myself).
Open for suggestions.
Mike

My wife likes Dublin Pub in Dayton, and I think Dunways in Troy was good, but I was 14 last time I was there. Our ability to attend in Mason depends on babysitters.

Someday, gonna make it out there. Wanna spill some beer on the 350th Fighter Group memorial at Wright-Patterson in honor of my father and a few of his friends....some day.

I'm planning on being there.

Now I'm intrigued. Esp. since I think Kings Island is open the next day, if we can get a two day break from the kids...

I should be able to make it, seeing that it's blocks from my house....as long as nothing is planned.

Dammit, I will be leaving Dayton to come home to Texas on 1 May. Missing the fun by one day.

just an FYI, another great location if not for this one but for another, would be The Dingle House it's located off I-75 in Union Centre. If you wear your kilt you get a FREE appetizer (Guinness is on the appetizer menu) but I tend to get the $14 sampler platter. Might as well get your moneys worth. The waiters & waitresses wear Sport Kilts, the atmosphere is very nice, lots of wood and stone archways.

Aw hell, and I've been to IKEA 3 times in a kilt, and lived in WC for a few years before moving north. Where at UC is that place?
NM, I just read that it opened a few months back and appears to be near the bookstore.

Reason: There was a link, I have a college education, I should be able to figure out where a pub is with the given info.
