Asheville Kilt Night - July 4th Weekend
I am planning to be in Asheville, July 4th weekend. I understand there are some great microbreweries there. On wonder if the Hooligans will be playing locally then? Who's up for a kilt night or two?

Will you be returning home between the weekend of the 4th and the following weekend? If so, we could have several get-togethers over those few days. I'm up for some hiking, and I'd like to show off some areas of my county.

Actually, I'll be headed to Franklin for a day or two, then Grandfathers's Mountain for the Games. Then a fast haul back to Virginny for work. Would be game to double back from Asheville on the 7.4 weekend to meet up with in Marion for some hiking. I'll bring my famed French Alps hiking stick carved by Ancienne Alliance.

Wait...hiking and beer? That's what I do best!
If you are in the area July 3rd (Saturday) you could come over to Montreat for the July 4th parade. The Montreat Pipes and Drums will be there, and I'm sure the Montreat Scottish Society would love to have you march with them in the parade right behind the band. My program will be offering lots of hikes in the Montreat watershed on and around that weekend, and you wouldn't be the only kilted hiker in the woods!
Monteat is 15 minutes east of Asheville via I-40.
PM me for my cell # if you're interested.
And this is an open invitation for any XMTS member, BTW.

And it looks like the Hooligans will be in Florida that weekend.
