My new Black Watch casual kilt
I just wanted to say thanks to Burnetts & Struth for this awesome kiilt which arrived last week. In particular, Mary at B&S went out of her way to make sure that it arrived on time so that I was able to wear it to a local festival. This is the casual 5 yard kilt which is currently on sale.
And, btw, my wife now has kilt envy so we may be ordering one for her from you soon!
Here is how it was packaged.

And here it is in all its glory:

Thanks again Burnetts & Struth!

looks good and thanks for the pleats pic ... I guess maybe a 5 yarder might be ok too. I've been browsing their site for various tartans (Maple Leaf, Anderson and Newfoundland) - perhaps some day I'll get a 5 yarder from them.

Very nice . I know that the Black Watch tartan is very popular and is used a lot ... but I never tire of it , definitely one of my favs ! The fit seems to be very good as well .

Nice! I have the B&S Black Watch casual too, and love it. It goes casual with a tee shirt or you can dress it up.

Looks great! You can't go wrong with a B&S kilt. I bought a Maple Leaf Tartan 5 yard kilt from them and it is my favorite kilt now.
Cheers!

Those B&S 5 yarders are great value. They are only "casual" because there is less yardage than an 8 yard kilt and they are machine sewn. Actually, they fit and look quite proper, enough so that I advised my mom's boyfriend to get one (in 16oz wool) as his one and only, all around kilt. Don't let the "casual" moniker fool you!

That is a sharp looking kilt. The Black Watch tartan seems to be easier to pleat and allows for plenty of pleats. My Sir John A is also a "on sale" 5 yd kilt from B&S.
