First jones in a looooong time.
Since our big life-changing move last January I haven't been kilting much, and I haven't bought anything kilt-related in almost a year!
That changed yesterday when I spied this on Ebay during a rare kilt-related search. Looks like a nice Gordon Modern. Hopefully I didn't snatch it away from another X-Marker.
Now for that dreaded jones while I wait for the package to arrive.

Looks good, close to my size even.
What does the + 2 1/2 mean on length?
Also, where did "jonesing" come from? There must be a history I havent read about.

Looks like a beautiful kilt. Congrats! So, are you another Gordon cousin?

Congrats!
Funny enough I saw it on eBay and almost posted it in the "for sale" section in hopes that an X-Marker would buy it. Glad I didn't.

Answer to two questions: 2 1/2" means the rise. This a military style kilt, so the rise is more than the "civilian" model. "Jonesing" is what an addict feels whilst waiting for the next "fix" to take hold (or so I have been told)

Thanks everyone!
No, I'm not a Gordon cousin, I just like the tartan. I have a SWK Standard in Gordon, but I've always wanted a wool one. I just hope it fits. I've lost an inch or two off my waist over the past 3 months. I usually wear a 34" kilt so I'm taking a bit of a chance with this one.

I guess I won't need to get Hank to change your name to "Mr. Shorts" after all... Good score, my man. Finally an honest to goodness tank for ya. Hopefully it's military weight wool. If so, then you can extend your kilting season a bit.
