I got it today!
I just got my new utilikilt today. I've not been waiting long, less than two weeks. I got the workman dark brown if anyone cares.
It's a nice kilt to trash around in.
Only one problem, these kilts have modesty snaps to close the kilt if need be and mine only had the two snaps in front, none in the back so I called them up and they are sending me the snaps and told me to find a taylor and they'll take care of me.
Well I've got to go and hang up my freshly washed kilt.

Congrats on the new kilt! The Workman's UK is a fantastic looking kilt that has broken LOTS of boundaries. Enjoy it!
However...

Didn't they offer to pay for the kilt to be shipped back and put a snap on and send it back? Why should you do the legwork for their mistake?
Just thought that 1 thing odd... that's all.
Bottom line: You probably (don't know if you will or not) won't use the modesty snap all that often, so it won't matter that much anyway.

Congrats on the new kilt! My first kilt was a Workmans. If they still sold my size I'd get another one.

Congratulations on the new Workman's. I have the carmel, but I'm waiting on a brown one and a white one. They got hold of a limited amount of white duck, and I couldn't resist.
Does seem odd that they would tell you to find a taylor to add the missing modesty snaps. Maybe they are overloaded with orders and offered to handle it this way.

Are you talking about snaps or the button thing on the elastic? If that is so, I thought mine didn't have the back part too, only to find out when I called them that there are button holes in the back opposite the closures. Look really close in the seam area of the pleat and you may find the button hole for the front closure.

You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

The Workmans has a metal snap. One piece on the back and the other on the back apron. I'm puzzled by his reference to two snaps on the front, mine only has one. It's probably an improvement they've made in the year since I got mine.

Johnny Celtic, congratulations on the new kilt! You will like it, although I think that they want you to find a tailor, somebody (typically a man) who sews for a living, and not somebody named Taylor!

SB, have they changed the sizes they stock? I didn't realize there were limits on the sizes, based on the styles, you could order.
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long

All of my workman's have 4 snaps on the front (two low, two high) and two in the back. My oldest is 4/12 years old.

The elastic modesty system is only on the survival model.
