Prefered weight of canvas for kilting?
Hi Guys,
I don't post (or look) here much, as I tend to like and make "traditional" style kilts (mainly box pleats). But, I have been asked about making a kilt in a canvas. Well, I know a fair amout about wools now, some about PV, but not much about canvas.
So, what weights are liked for kilts in canvas?
I have VERY easy access to 10oz, but is that thick enough once washed?
Has anyone tried canvas in a box pleat? (Isn't he X kilt commonly done in a canvas?)
Who knows, if successful, I might create a pirate kilt for all us "kilted pirates"!
