    Hay/Leith Tartan (WR2013)

I just stumbled across this tartan on the tartan registry site. WOW. That looks like it would be a very nice tartan/kilt!!

    http://www.tartans.scotland.net/tart...an_id=1129.htm

I don't see it listed for sale anywhere though, does this mean it would have to be weaved special order?

Nope, that one is readily available in 10 oz, 13 oz, and 16 oz cloth. Check our gift shop price listing for kilts here:
    http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/kiltpage.html

In the heavy weight (16 oz) range it is priced as "rare select."
    Aye,

Why does the real cloth look nothing like the digital image?

because all computer moniters display color differently and to make matter worse the pixiels on a digital cam veiw the differnt as well. so put them both together and you end up with at best something close to the real thing. lol
