    Columcille Park

I visited a black powder rendezvous in eastern PA this past weekend with one of my older grandsons. Normally we would have been camped there, but other commitments interfered, so we just drove up for the day to visit friends, and play the pipes for one of their events. After leaving the Rendezvous we stopped at a Park nearby that I'd heard of, called Columcille. The folks that tend to it call it a megalith Park. Apparently it is the work of a minister who was inspired by the isle of Iona. An impressive layout of standing stones, a bell tower and a Chapel of St. Columba. Seemed like a natural location to play a couple of tunes, and my grandson took some photos.

It was an enjoyable visit. I'd recommend it to anyone who happens to be in the area. I may go back up in the fall when the leaves begin to turn, should add a new dimension.

Wow, those are some cool pictures and a neat location! (wish I was at home, a sepia tone and a silve halide wash would make these timeless)

Looking good - certainly a different and interesting location for piping.
