			Potain/Swordsman jackets as formal wear

I've been under the impression that an alternative to the Montrose Doublet and Prince Charlie was to wear a black potain jacket, perhaps with slashed sleeves, or a "Swordsmans" jacket with a nice white Jacobite shirt. this is paired up with a tartan kilt, belt, dress sporrtan, good quality hose and probably ghillie brogues or possibly buckle brogues.
Pour1Malt, didn't you wear something like that for your wedding?

Thoughts, comments from any and all?
