How about Runrig? Any fans in the rabble?
I discovered Runrig about a year or so ago. They've been around for more than 30 years and play a bit of everything - folk, rock, pop - and sing both in Gaelic and English.
They are apparently big on the continent which, David Hasselhoff notwithstanding, is not a bad compliment.
A good introduction would be "The Stamping Ground" for a studio album. "Day of Days, The 30th Anniversary Concert" carries the power of their live shows.
A growing number of their albums is on iTunes, if you are so inclined to have a listen.
"I'm 37, I'm not old!"
