He did it to me AGAIN ......
Dragged me kicking and screaming into a new obsession, that is.
He being my son (aka the Marine!Goth or JC) who has decided to investigate the kilted life a bit.
He's an active duty Marine, a Corporal stationed at Camp Lejeune. I'm back here in Kansas (Topeka actually), thinking I'd better be getting my sewing machine tuned up and my knitting needles warmed up. And maybe the loom as well (we'll see about that last - it's been YEARS)
Somehow, having a fiancee (KT) who is VERY proud of her Irish heritage has made him aware of his own Scots and Scots-Irish blood. Or maybe it was all the RenFests I forced him to go to when he was younger LOL.
Who knows, but in looking for the USMC tartan, I stumbled across you guys. And so I thought I'd poke my head in and say "hello".
I can see there's a TON of information here; I plan to immerse myself in the archives over the weekend.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
