Christmas in July
This morning I got the Balmoral that fits from Glengarry Hats, then I went up to my Aunt's house, once I got home there was a knock at the door, the Mailman had two packages for me number 1 was the Inverness Cape from vmac3205 number 2 the Burns Check Jacket that I got from ebay. Woo Hoo Christmas in July.
It's nice to have a Balmoral that actually fits, now it's just the waiting for the X-Marks Clan Badge.

The Burns Check Braemar is a nice piece that I just happened upon but I thought why not try for it, and sure enough I won the auction so was happy about that.

As for the Inverness Cape I've wanted one for some time but with the price of Harris Tweed I was almost resigned to wait until I one thew lottery, that was until vmac3205 came along, the Cape really is wonderful as the photos will attest my only complaint is that the buttons are on the wrong side I'm used to my buttons being on the right and these are on the left, but I suppose it will just take some getting used to. I do absolutely love the Crimson lining, I think it just looks wonderful, thanks again vmac3205.

Nice! I particularly like that Burns check jacket. I'm going to have to scan the auctions for one of those myself.

Wow, that Burns Check jacket is just lovely! I didn't even know they had such things on Ebay! I'm going to have to start paying closer attention.
What size is it?
Now you just have to get a Burns Check kilt to match!

Matt you really have to look on ebay.co.uk for stuff like this, many times the jackets are just too small, however I've been lucky a few times, it is a size 40 I go between 40 and 42 depending on the maker my Montrose is a 42 but my Argyll's seem to fit at a 40. I think I'll get my Aunt to reverse the buttons on the Inverness I'm sure she'll be able to fix it up.

Wow Glen, these are stunning! Let me add to the well done that everyone else has posted!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
