Clans and Septs
Jim Beam is well known in the world of whiskey. I have an inquiry regarding the name Beam. Is that name affiliated with any clan to anyone's knowledge? I have checked my reference books and can't find that name as spelled associated with any sept or clan of Scotland. Would there be any other spellings?

Jim Beam is American bourbon whiskey, which is made from corn, which is quite different from scotch. As for a Scottich connection, the Boehm family from Germany, eventually changing the spelling to “Beam” after settling in Kentucky. How this answers your question.
