I've now worn a kilt to several large shopping centres in the last week, including appointments and visits with some professionals and general shopping. Including a much busier than expected Saturday afternoon.

The only comment I got was from a spruiker for a fitness centre asking if I wanted to "tone those legs up". Even my grandmother didn't bat an eye the other day when I had to make an emergency visit (but she has seen me kilted before and made a comment the first time...).

Next week, I'm gonna wear my black Union Kilt into town when I see my psychologist. (The Union is great because it has pockets!) That involves a train ride.

Of course, this makes me want to buy another tartan one*, and a decent sporran to match, but I won't be financial to do that for quite a few months. I thought three kilts was a lot - I only have three pairs of jeans, for instance - but I've found myself starting to appreciate why people like lots to choose from in their wardrobe!

Wade.

* I have a NeoKilt in snow camo, a Sportkilt in tartarn - which is 100% cotton, of all things, and thus needs much warmer weather - and a black UnionKilt. A good start, but still only a start.
