    First taratn kilt DIY

Here it is after hours of hand sewing. I don't have wool hose, so I used footbal hose just to see the look. Also, haven't done garters yet and I put the flashes just inside the hose fold. The slipers a not the part of the look, they are there just to keep my feet warm and hose cleaner.

Done (more or less) according to "The art of kiltamking" book and some advices from Barb (thanks).

My son was taking pics and are a bit blury.

    Regards to all!

Blurry pics or not I think it looks great!

It's always feels really good to make something by your own hands.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

    fantastic job on your kilt!

looks like a store-bought/kiltmaker-bought kilt, if not for the actual tartan, couldnt tell the difference.

    congrats again!
