Where were the kilts?

Reflecting back on the Richmond Games, it seems like very few gentlemen were in a kilt, probably no more than about 25% of those attending. Having a quick scan through Mael Coluim's photos seems to bear this out. Did anyone else attending notice this?

Right, you are! I have always called the Richmond Games, the one for the tourists. In Williamsburg, there was the same number of clan tents as Richmond, almost all W'burg were kilted. Of course the number of people were fewer. The larger metropolitan in Richmond area brings out a lot more of the non-kilted.

That explains it-- I guess, although in Los Angeles when you go to the Games the kilted still outnumber the kiltless... not that I'd use that as a reason to move to LA!

I've been tempted to, for years. The founder of a sword style I'd really like to study lives there, and teaches at his dojo there. It's not quite enough to get me to pack up and head out that way.
