Capote Pattern
A fellow Xmarker recently posted a pattern for the Capote coats made from blankets. My mother is in town with her sewing machine, and now I can't find the pattern. Does anyone know which posting I'm talking about or has the pattern?
The plan is to use a couple of army wool blankets that I have and maybe line it with poncho liners. Thanks for any help.

It is in this section, one page back - I'm not up to making a link but if you just look back for - I think it was 'Blanket kilt jacket' the link for the pattern is in there.

I have used this pattern before and hand stitched for my Capote:
http://www.inquiry.net/OUTDOOR/WINTER/gear/capote.htm
The only thing I did is to make the sleeves longer than is called for so you can roll them down in bad weather. Took me Three evenings of 3hrs each to finish the Capote.
MrBill
PS the tails on the hood if you make it with hood are functional Make them long enough so they can tie your hood tight in bad weather.
