    Kilt presentation and tartan hoses

    Hello all,

As Puffer and a couple of others were interested in how my presentation went; it went awesome. The kids were very interested (approx. 9 years of age). I just did the plain topics such as modern kilts, origin of the kilt etc. (no going into details if you only have 25 minutes). During explaining I showed how to wear a great kilt on one of the young lads (I borrowed my mothers tartan blanket heheh). Afterwards they had to fill in a question sheet (as the teacher had suggested) and they were allowed to ask questions and take a closer look at the kilt and argyll.

I also have been looking for tartan hoses affordable to me (as Im a poor student!) and after two months I finally found a knitter in my area being able to do the job. She send me a sample of what is was going to look like, and it looked fantastic. she wasn't sure whether the pattern would change slightly from top to bottom, but she thought it would be fine. She charges me 15 euros for everything, meaning total (so only the wool has to be paid for, no working hours, no nothing!) which is about...20 dollars I suppose. They'll take a while to finish but I ll post pics once I have em

    Greetings,

    Daniel

Most men, they'll tell you a story straight through. It won't be complicated, but it won't be interesting either. - Edward Bloom (Big Fish)

It sounds like you had a great experience with the children in the class.

But wow! 15 Euros plus the cost of wool for tartan hose! I am turning green with envy!
