New Guy (but not)
Hello everyone,
I'm new to posting on the forum but not new to the idea of living the "kilt life". My name is Donovan Murray. It’s quite possible that our paths have crossed if you’ve attended Celtic Festivals on the east coast or been around a certain group of high energy Scots with drums to bang on. For many years I’ve been involved in the music business and for the last dozen years I’ve worked in festival production. A lot of people recognize me from the Celtic Groves and Concerts at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games and also as the North American agent for the Scottish band, Albannach, and author/historian David R Ross.
I hope to lend my knowledge and experience to enhancing all things related to Celtic music and of course to do that you have to have a love for kilts and the desire to show the world how good you look in one. One of the true pleasures of being involved in this unique "business" is meeting those of kindred spirits, like Hank and the many other great folks that love the kilt and don't mind showing it.
I invite you to check out the new web site & myspace sites for THE Celtic Force. We will be adding features to these sites as we evolve and hope to provide a place to get great information and stay current on the performers and events we are handling, be sure to check back often. You can also contact us here if you have questions.
Thanks for taking the time to give us a look and we hope to see you in 2009 at one of our partner festivals:
Grandfather Mountain Highland Games,
Gatlinburg Scottish Festival,
Greater Greenville Scottish Festival,
Williamsburg Scottish Festival,
New event in ’09:
Rockahock Celtic Music Festival in Virginia, May 8 & 9.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
