    Tartan Weaving Video, and more

I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but if it has it's worthwhile to view again. There are videos on how tartan is made, history of tartan, Howie from 21st century kilts, and other FAQ on wearing accessories

that was wonderful, thanks for the link!

I thought it was interesting that they said that kilts aren't supposed to have a hem, just the selvedge edge--do any of you guys have a kilt like this?

I don't have any with a hem, all of mine are traditional selvedge.

I've made kilts with and without hems. Most materials of wool and PV will not show the hem. It is important to use a herringbone catch stitch on the hem. After pressing, no one will know... not even the wearer.
