Killdares in Southlake, TX - 5/16/09
Anybody going to this show? They're having a free show at the town square in Southlake, TX this Saturday at 7:30pm. Bring your chairs and blankets (for the ground.)
I'll probably be in my Seaforth.

They play in Richardson on Friday, and they'll be in Dallas next weekend.
Here's a link to their schedule.
Killdares Shows
I kind of stumbled upon this particular show. I had a pre-development meeting for a new school site yesterday in Roanake. Standing in the lobby at City Hall, I happened to glance down and see a flyer for ARTSNET, which I picked up for my wife, thinking there might be something she'd like to go do. And low and behold - The Killdares!

I live in Roanoke. I wonder if I should be wandering around town (don't blink or you'll miss it! ) more often. I hadn't heard about this show.
Not sure if we'll be going. I keep asking hubby about events, but he's been too busy to answer. Honestly, I have to admit I would love to see the Tipp off if we're able to do something.
We'll have to play things by ear.

I love Roanoke. Such a nice, homely town. I work near Downtown Ft Worth or I'd consider moving up there. We currently live in between Saginaw and Keller, which is far enough away as it is!
I'd love to see the Tipp off, but I'm pretty sure I'd be a bump on a log without some brew in me. 6 more months..

Everyone have a great time.
The Killdares will not be at the Grandfather Highland games in NC this year, they have gone for the last three. If any of you speak to them let them know they will be missed.

I'll try to talk to them either Saturday or at the games in June.

I guess the show got canceled. The wife and I trekked out there around 7pm. When we got there, there was nothing there. We tried calling the number online prior to going, and when we arrived, and of course, no one answered. Big bummer.
So we went and saw Star Trek instead.

What a shame Sorry it didn't work out, but glad you were able to change your plans to enjoy the evening.

The biggest disappointment was that there was no information about whether or not the show would be on. The website still had it up, the phone number didn't mention anything.
Frustrating more than anything else. We even asked one of the bicycle "cops" about it, and they didn't have a clue. I guess they work for the shopping center, not for the city? Who knows.
Anyway, Star Trek was amazing. I grew up watching Jean-Luc Picard's Enterprise, and later watched the old episodes with Capt Kirk as a pre-teen, and well into my early teens. The movie definitely had a little twist, which I think was intentional. Overall a VERY good 20$ spent.
