    Farlander's X-Kilt #2

X-Kilt #1 was made out of heavy, soft bull denim. It feels great, but wrinkles like a dickens and stretches in weird ways. I now believe that it is somewhat of a 'stretch' denim which is known to not work so well.

    So,
I now take great pleasure in introducing my next attempt.

    and my bum...

There are three differences in the Farlander X-Kilt from the original design.
1). Bigger Cargo Pockets. The original design calls for an approximate 6.5" by 6.5" pocket. The Farlander pocket is more like 7"x8.5" with deeper pleats and a heaver pocket flap. This is big enough to hold some real CARGO. If anyone is interested, I have some more detailed pictures and could provide more design details.

2). Extra 3" pleat (or half box) just under the left side of the apron.

3). Extra 3" pleat (or half box) to the under apron.

I think that the extra pleats help a bit with the way the apron hangs. I definitely like the left apron pleat. The under apron pleat still needs a little work. I have not sewn it down yet. That might do exactly what I am looking for.

Thanks Alan for the great X-Kilt Manual!

Don't think I'd care to be spanked by Alan but the kilt looks great anyway.

    Best regards,

Looks as good [or better] as any you'd find in a shop. Congratulations!

That is very well made kilt! And even in material which is hard to work.
    My compliments.
