    The agony is almost over

So the eleven day vacation to visit number two son and his wife in Phoenix is almost over. Visiting is not the bad part. It's not having a kilt on in the eleven days! My wife is not fond of kilts so "NO KILTS" were taken along! When we get home on Sunday I am going to have to get one on without my wife noticing it! HA may have to wait till she is at work. The jet won't fly fast enough to get me home and into one of my favorites. OH the agony of having to wait. I think I may need therapy.

You know, I had the exact same problem one time, except for the travel bit. Now, my situation may be far worse than most since my tartan is MacLeod of Lewis, which is pretty much offensive to most just on its own, but the fact of the matter was that my wife didn't like kilts, period. Not on me, not on Vin Diesel, nothing. Didn't matter. I found myself in the position to get a new wife. I'm much happier now.

It's just the opposite with my wife. She thinks men should be required to only wear kilts, unless of course the kilt presented a safety hazard.

My wife has a thing for kilt swing.

My wife just chalks it up to another of my crazy compulsions. Actually buying kilts is much cheaper, so far, as compared with all the re-enacting stuff I own. Now I have run out of re-enacting kit to buy, so I can buy kilts. I guess for her it's a trade-off. I pay the mortgage and keep the lights on, so I am entitled to a couple crazy hobbies/compulsions.

Even if my dear wife is not really supportive, she accepts that I wear my kilts. At home she will hardly see me in trousers anymore. I almost think she has come to kind of like me in a kilt. When we go out together she (mostly) prefers that I wear trousers, and that I respect.
She is indeed the best thing that has happened in my life - and we have been together since 1964, married since 1966.

    Wearing the Kilt

Even though my family is Scottish and my father was born there i never had a urge to wear one. My wife convinced me that it would look great on me. While we were visiting relatives several years ago in Hamilton, Scotland I ended up with three. I now have seven and when we go back this year I plan on getting at least one more!

I too wear them very often.
