    Question about boundary lines

    Greetings,

For the Clachneart and the Weights for Distance are the boundaries for the thrower a rectange (9' x 4' 6" for the weights and 7' 6" x 4' 6" for the Clachneart) or just the trig and back lines?

For the weights it is a trig 6" tall,4" thick and 4'6" wide. The box is 9' from the trig to the back line and 4'6" wide. The stones are the same, only 7'6" from the trig to the back line. Below is the link to NASGA.

    jgorley,

Thank you. I swear I had read through that before but somehow I missed that the area is a rectangle.

HA! Sometimes in Scotland they'll put you in a circular trig, and there'll be a throwing sector, like in wire hammer and discus! That's what they did with the Masters Worlds last year.

No worries man, I did the same at first! Now you know, and knowing, is half the battle! Go Joe!
