A man of high principles
Sometime ago I ordered a Ferguson Britt sporran from the STM site. After having waited the recommend time, and a little bit more, no sporran had arrived. I contacted Matt and advised him of my concerns. Matt soon replied and advised that he had spent a couple of hours researching the order and that somewhere along the way the order had gone missing. He had contacted Mr Britt and that a replacement sporran would be ready in a week.
True to his word, the sporran was ready in a week and has been deliverd to me, it is magnificent.
What impressed me, was Matt's integrity and honesty in the situation
There were no excuses, no blaming anyone, no false promises. Matt apologised, found a solution, and made the solution work.
Over the last several years I have dealt with a number of overseas suppliers. I have experienced some problems, but I have never experienced the professionalism and honesty that I was given by STM and Matt
Thankyou Matt and the Museum staff for all their efforts and thankyou Lamar Britt for the magnificent sporran.

Matt and the staff at the STM are fine folks and I've always been treated very well. This is another of those businesses that you can depend on.

Thanks for the good words. I still don't know what originally happened with the order. I was able to find record of you having placed the order with us, but that is where the paper trail seemed to stop.
My philosophy is that everyone makes mistakes -- the important thing is how you handle them.
I phoned up our intrepid sporran maker immediately and explained that we had a past-due order that somehow got lost in the shuffle, and even though it was not his fault at all, he gave this sporran priority so that we could get it out as soon as possible.
I'm pleased that the post was able to get it delivered to you in Australia in good time. It looks great in your sporran collection. :-)
Wear it in good health!

Cheers, sir! An Inverarnan in dark brown. You have my sporran's brother!
...well worth the wait, I bet.
