I'm a new member hear. I live in Utah, near Salt Lake City. Like most Americans, I am somewhat of a mongrel, but I have a lot of Scottish blood on my mother's side, a bit of Irish on my father's side, plus German, English, and probably some of French thrown if you go back far enough on my mother's line. My mother's maiden name is French, but according to family history that particular branch of the family left France and went to Scotland, stayed a few generations, and then came to America. However, my mother also has ancestors on her mother's side with more typical Scottish names as well.

Anyway, my wife, who is French but lover of all things Celtic, recently bought me a Black Watch kilt, so I'm trying to learn more about how to wear the kilt and what accessories to match with the kilt.

by the way, I am amazed at how diverse the people are at this site. It seems you come from all over the world.
