    Casual Kilt Outfit

I've read some great posts on the forum about different looks for kilts. I have a bachelor party coming up (dinner at a Scottish pub in the U.S.) in advance of a wedding that will be Highland wear. The pub gives you your first beer for free if you're kilted, which is an added bonus for wearing the kilt in addition to the connection to the wedding attire. My question is, what's a proper look for a casual night out?

My default is to go with a button-up shirt and vest, along with kilt, hose, and proper shoes. I have a Jacobite shirt that came as a freebie with a kilt package, but it isn't really a look I care for. I did find some nice long-sleeve Henley shirts on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/NITAGUT-Cotto...s%2C88&sr=8-40) that look like a good addition to the kilt. Thoughts? With our without a vest if the Henley is a good shirt?

I'm not overly concerned about this as it's a casual night out, but the hunting and putting together is part of the fun (for me) of wearing the kilt. So far I've been in the more traditional Argyll, and for the wedding I'll be in PC, so the pub outfit is a new exploration. This is proving to be a dangerously addictive hobby.
