    new sgian dubh

well, inspired by the sgian dubh rebuild, I sought out and puchased a damascus etch sgian dubh. 9.99 from BudK. now I'll have to make a new handle for it as even the pics look kindof cheesy...maybe medlar wood

    pics will be forthcoming

its not actually a damascus blade...it looks like damascus, hence the "etch".

as a unit, it looks like a typical lower price sgian dubh. the blade looks pretty cool though with the damascus etch. I'm going to rebuild the handle...I have various woods laying around...black walnut or medlar I'm a thinking

well, it FINALLY came today. nice heft, wonderful balance.

now I know I must redo the handle...it has a picture of 2 aztec gods puking on the handle...

so thinner/new black walnut handle and leather sheath will be in order

nothing fancy on the sheath...just good enough so that I dont stab myself in the leg when I put it back in my boot.
