My USA Kilts order is in the mail!!!

Well...it's finally in the mail. My order for a USA Kilts Philabeg in PV Gunn is on it's way to Rocky! I'm just a little excited. This is my first kilt.

Now, this is a birthday gift, and my birthday isn't until March 7th, and I don't actually expect to get it until close to my birthday since Rocky doesn't actually have any of the PV Gunn in stock (maybe having the order in front of him will sway him into ordering the fabric early) and won't until mid to end of February....but, we had the funds, so we went ahead and placed the order. Along with the kilt, I'll also be receiving a nice Celtic Knot design sporran. The waiting begins....

Great news Brian, the first kilt is not unlike the first kiss, or the first child - they remain very special. You will be so pleased with the kilt, I guarantee you'll want to wear it more and more!

That first kilt order is really a rush. Just wait until it arrives and you get to tear open the package. AND, put it on!

    The best

I think I can support the statements about the first kilt being special. I have a cheap kilt that is great around the house; I have a vintage kilt that is perfectly and lovingly made, and I have my first kilt, machine finished, but I love it for the fact that it's the family link, feels great and is the most worn so far as it was the first and most people have seen me with it on. The real pain is the fact that having one made takes so long that the anticipation hurts, but makes up for it when it actually arrives I hope you are extremely happy with your kilt, but soemhow, hearing the comments from others on this site, I know you will be.

I remember my first kilt. one of the 1st Amerikilts made, one of about 25. it sucked waiting for it (a whole bloody week), but that kilt has been everywhere... from jumping over the drum kit at a FUX show numerous times, being puked on, bled on, spilt beer on, falling out of the back of a truck...the list is almost endless

    Congrats Brian!

I know that you've been waiting to get a kilt for a while, so I'm always glad to hear about guys that participate on the board, and then have the joy of getting their first kilt. I did the same thing.

Sorry to hear that the PV is out of stock at the moment. Gunn is a great tartan, and you'll be pleased as punch.

Put your mind else wear. Try and get all the accessories you want while you wait, and it will help ease the jonsing. Also read up on the kilt advise thread to help answer any questions you think of while you wait. Good luck Brian, a few weeks isn't too long, and should fly by.
