    Kilts good for virility...?

It's been said that wearing kilts is good for the 'bits' - better than bunching them up.

Well, I decided to see what truth I could find to that statement, here are my inital results:

Apparently for a higher sperm count one should avoid higher temperature levels and also, underwear containing polyester or man made fibers that cause friction can cause an electrostatic problem! I'm not kidding.

In avoiding infertility this website recommends the following:

    http://health.discovery.com/encyclopedias/3053.html

What can be done to prevent the condition?

Some cases of male infertility may be avoided by doing the following: · Avoid drugs and medications known to cause fertility problems. · Avoid excessive exercise. · Avoid exposure to environmental hazards such as pesticides. · Avoid frequent hot baths or use of hot tubs. · Avoid tight underwear or pants. · Eat a diet with adequate folic acid. · Get early treatment for sexually transmitted diseases. · Have regular physical examinations to detect early signs of infections or abnormalities. · Keep diseases, such as diabetes and hypothyroidism, under control. · Practice safer sex to avoid sexually transmitted diseases. · Take a lycopene supplement. · Wear protection over the scrotum during athletic activities.

Although more research needs to be done, parents may want to consider alternatives to disposable diapers for male infants.

However, on the flip-side, one website suggests that if you're going to play physically active sports then you should definitely get some 'support'.

As one website said - You've now been de-briefed!

I would argue that wearing kilts in public places dramatically increases one's opportunities to procreate.

    taken from Bear's site

Myth - "Underwear supports the testes and keeps them from getting floppy."
Like the bra is said to prevent the sagging of breasts, underwear is supposed to give support to the testes. Imagine putting your arm in a sling and not using it. Will it become stronger? Healthier? No, it will become weak and atrophied. 'Going Bear' is healthy!
Myth - "Cold is bad for the genitalia."
Doctors specializing in reproduction therapies state coldness on the testes is not harmful. In fact, it increases sperm motility. Ice on the testes is a common recommendation for men with low sperm production.

well, I would have to disagree the support. back in high school I wore restrictive underwear (read: tight), I started to get random nut pain while I was driving, walking, just whenever they felt like hurting. so off to the doctor I went, and after talking for a while and a couple of tests, he determined that it was my underwear causing the muscles that regulate the drop of the testes to atrophy to the point of pain. So I stopped wearing underwear and it got better, started wearing the kilt, and its comepletely gone.

problem is, now that the lads have gotten good and strong, they dont like to be in pants anymore.

and think about it...millions of years humans didnt have pants...what the hell do the "experts" think happened then?

I guess that is because the blood keeps flowing better, no restrictions to hamper its proper flow

On a related note...someone just brought this up...

bearing in mind the research above about the effects of heat and electricity on sperm-count - one might want to keep one's laptop off one's lap!
