New Filson Bomber Jackets
Just got my new Filson catalog (yeah they're expensive, but top quality) www.filson.com
They've just come out with six pocket bomber jackets in molesking cotton, oiled cotton and 24oz and 18oz wool. 24oz comes in brown or charcoal wool, 18oz comes in navy wool. Cottons are in field greens.
Bet the wool bombers could even go with a tweed kilt.
Love their stuff. Used to wear their cruiser jacket when I was a kid working in the mines (the Idarado at Red Mountain Pass above Ouray, CO). Have a new cruiser jacket that fits my elderly girth, some wool vests (replaced their stock buttons with Buffalo Nickel buttons) and wool cruiser jacket. Old line company that's been around over 100 years.

I have had a #15SH Shelter Cloth Packer Hat for years. I only wear it when it's very cold and raining or snowing because it's too hot for Vancouver's climate. My Tilley suits this area better.

Barbour...
There's only one name associated with waxed jackets, and that is:
BARBOUR

Next to a new kilt, that is one item of clothing I "jones" over almost constantly (that and I double-breasted blue blazer!)

I've been a big fan of Filson stuff for awhile, too. I have their outfitter coat and a shelter cloth packer hat (lot of miles on that one!). I've also got their wool vest in charcoal, which I figure will go nicely with a kilt when I get into one. Their briefcases are without equal!
