    Hi everyone!

Hello! I'm new to the Xmarksthescot forums, and found it might be appropriate to introduce myself! I'm Sav, from Gettysburg, PA. Many times I get questioned about my kilt, being that I am of primarily Indian descent. My Kilted history is as follows: besides being a piper (in the tradition of my great-grandfather who was a piper for the Indian territorial battalion of the Gordon Highlanders), I also wear a kilt (modern or traditional) almost every day! I am so glad I found a forum of like-minded kilted individuals! Looking forward to interacting with you all through this venue!
    Kiltedly,
    Sav

Welcome, Sav! Glad to have you here!

I'd love to know more about your great-grandfather's service, since I am the resident "military history buff"!

The Indian Army has a long association with the Scottish regiments -- the Gurkhas & Sikhs still maintain ties & customs (pipe bands, tartans, etc.)

    Regards,

    Todd

    Hi Sav, and welcome aboard!

I moved this to the "Newbie" section, so that more people would be apt to say hello.

There are a load of guys from PA around here, and they seem to constantly be having kilt nights. It'd be great if you could meet some other kilted gents in your area.

Welcome to the forum, sav. I know for a fact that there is one member her from Mechanicsburg, PA., and I thought someone else was from Gettysburg. I used to live in York Springs. Anyway...Warmest of welcomes!
