    A new one for me...

I was at Home Depot wearing my UK workmans, and a woman comes up behind me, says "Excuse me..."

I turn around, and she says "I've never seen a skirt like that before."

    I say, "It's a kilt, actually."

The response: "Oh, I know that... but it's different... so, what are you, a scottish carpenter or something?"

    Struck me funny... heh...

Perhaps you should have a hammer on your hip.

had a new one today: at the supermarket the young lady at the counter says, "that's the first time I've seen a man in a kilt that's not on tv." Then she kind of mutters to herself, "I've got to get out more often."

Lady at the concert, may have been too friendly with Alexander Keith, was confused that it wasn't a clan tartan and that Canada had her own tartan. Canadian army seemed to satisfy her.

(we should probably have a dedicated page for questions/statements beyond the basic three: birth, clan, and myob.)

    Talking

    That does it.

When I make my canvas kilt, I'm adding a hammer loop...
